Our USA Adventure – Week 10
Our USA Adventure – Week 10: Bristol (VA/TN), Crossville, Nashville
This week we traveled from the Blue Ridge Parkway area around Floyd, VA to Nashville, Tennessee. On the way we had nice stops at Bristol, where the border dividing Virgina and Tennessee runs down the middle of State Street, and Crossville where we stayed at a fairly rustic but lovely park called the Davey Crockett RV Park. Bristol is known as the Birthplace of Country Music so of course we had to visit the Country Music Museum – a fascinating place we would love to return to. Music has played a big role in our country’s history and this museum documents that history relative to the ealiest beginning of country music up to the present. It was nice to get that history prior to visiting the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, where the past and present of country music come together in a fabulous collage of pictures, sound, and words!

Hi Jim! I’ve been thinking about you lately, wondering how you’re doing and wanting some help with categories. Thanks for touching bases here! We’re currently in Slidell, Louisianna but leaving tomorrow, so the next opportunity will be a few days when we get to Zavalla. Pretty sure they have WiFi there. I’ll keep in touch and let you know. How are things there? Getting ready to post the latest two weeks today, BTW.
