Our USA Adventure – Visiting Cousin Karen in Slidell, Louisianna
I posted a few pictures of our time with Karen in the last edition, but that didn’t nearly cover our time together, and I wanted to have a special blog just about that visit, so here it is. For non-family who may not know the history, Karen is the daughter of my Uncle Bill and Aunt Aileen Collins – Bill was my Mom’s brother, undoubtedly her favorite brother, too. As kids, my Sis, Judy, and I spent some wonderful times vacationing with Karen’s family and the memories are very special, and this visit was no exception. Pat & I will cherish the short time we spent with Karen forever! What a blast! And despite her angst about going into New Orleans after a close call there some time back, she took us for a fantastic ride thru The City on our last day together!
